Hello! My name is Robert. I've been an insect geek since 1997, becoming inflicted with the "bug" after acquiring my first Tarantula (G. rosea), then a Scorpion (P. imperator). I've been hooked since and have tried my hand at pretty much EVERY type of invert available.
I started insectgeeks to help further promote the Invert hobby in new ways; a place not just for Arachnids or Roaches, but for ALL Invertebrates, where we can easily network with each other while sharing photos/videos, writing blogs, chatting, Classifieds and so much more! But mainly, to share your love and passion for the hobby with others alike, in a friendly and open environment.

I'm putting together two books; one about Roaches and another about Tarantulas. I'm a little more than halfway done with both books and assure you that they're unlike anything else out there. Stay tuned!

"Oh yes, these guys are very prolific. I started with 2.4 a couple months ago and now have hundreds!"
Wow, I'll be sending a few of the eggs to friends before they get too out of control, but I'm sure they'll be producing many more soon lol. Have you noticed them having a really funky smell? Kinda like skunk + trash? Or maybe it's just mine, I -did- catch them in a really cruddy city, so I've been careful to wash my hands any time I touch them :P
Hello, I had never really thought about how many species of roaches are out there. You have an incredible collection of them. Can't wait for the books!
Thank you very much! Your donation is greatly appreciated and will definitely add value to the site!
You're welcome. I decided I can't afford the monthly sponsorship banner thing I tried w/ ReptileGeeks... but I can at least do a lump sum of something.
