Hello! My name is Robert. I've been an insect geek since 1997, becoming inflicted with the "bug" after acquiring my first Tarantula (G. rosea), then a Scorpion (P. imperator). I've been hooked since and have tried my hand at pretty much EVERY type of invert available.

I started insectgeeks to help further promote the Invert hobby in new ways; a place not just for Arachnids or Roaches, but for ALL Invertebrates, where we can easily network with each other while sharing photos/videos, writing blogs, chatting, Classifieds and so much more! But mainly, to share your love and passion for the hobby with others alike, in a friendly and open environment.

COCKROACHES:

  1. Archimandrita tesselata (Peppered Roach)

  2. Blaberus boliviensis (?)

  3. Blaberus craniifer (Death's Head Roach)

  4. Blaberus discoidalis (Discoid Roach)

  5. Blaberus fusca (Dwarf Cave Roach)

  6. Blaptica dubia (Guyana Spotted Roach)

  7. Blatta lateralis (Turkistan Roach)

  8. Blatta orientalis (Oriental Roach)

  9. Byrsotria fumigata (Burrowing Roach)

  10. Deropeltis paulinoi (Ornate Velvet Roach)

  11. Elliptorhina chopardi (Dwarf Hissing Roach)

  12. Eublaberus distanti (Six-spotted Roach)

  13. Eublaberus posticus (Orange Head Roach)

  14. Eurycotis decipiens (Zebra Roach)

  15. Gromphadorhina portentosa (Madagascan Hissing Roach)

  16. Nauphoeta cinerea (Lobster Roach)

  17. Neostylopyga rhombifolia (Harlequin Roach)

  18. Polyphaga aegyptiaca (Desert Roach)

  19. Rhypharobia maderae (Madeiran Gold)

  20. Therea petiveriana (Domino Roach)

TARANTULAS:

- Various adult female Tarantulas species
- Various Roach species

I'm putting together two books; one about Roaches and another about Tarantulas. I'm a little more than halfway done with both books and assure you that they're unlike anything else out there. Stay tuned!

"Oh yes, these guys are very prolific. I started with 2.4 a couple months ago and now have hundreds!"

Wow, I'll be sending a few of the eggs to friends before they get too out of control, but I'm sure they'll be producing many more soon lol. Have you noticed them having a really funky smell? Kinda like skunk + trash? Or maybe it's just mine, I -did- catch them in a really cruddy city, so I've been careful to wash my hands any time I touch them :P

Thank you very much! Your donation is greatly appreciated and will definitely add value to the site!

You're welcome.  I decided I can't afford the monthly sponsorship banner thing I tried w/ ReptileGeeks... but I can at least do a lump sum of something.
