Hey! I just got your book on mantids. It literally arrived five minutes ago and I just signed onto this website to see the same name on your profile as was written on the envelope. I've never heard of you or Invertabrates Magazine and now I've seen it twice in one day! I love this site. Thanks for the book.
haha hello anywhere is cool in my books :p alltho if you post in your own profile I might forget to come back and check if you've replied which I frequently do so I advice you poke me now and again.
wow that's a nice ol feller then, hah, cool, very cool indeed. who took the photo and with what kind of camera? I'm upgrading my cam gear sometime in the summer before I head off to Russia, there are some outrageously cool beetles out that way! I might find a few to preserve and turn into jewellry or paperweights or something, there's quite a few common species that are nothing short of stunning!
Hello Choobaine (not sure if a hello here is what you mean).
The male D.tityus in the photo is from stock originally collected in 95'. He died of old age a few years back (quite a few generations in of course) but was found and carded a little late as spreading wings didn't work well at all. They fell off and had to be glued.
