I am just someone that loves all types of animals, but especially insects, arachnids and reptiles. Currently i am starting a small tarantula collection of maybe four tarantulas when i'm done. I came on this site to make friends with the same interests and look for tips and advice with people who have had more experience with the hobby. I've owned two other tarantulas and two scorpions in my time plus a red tail boa and green iguana.

Chilean Rose, Brazilian Salmon Pink, Venezuelan Suntiger and Mexican Red Rump Tarantulas. Emperor Scorpion.

Ghost Ornamental, Usambara Baboon(OBT), Chinese Earth Tiger, Cobalt Blue.

Mainly Tarantulas, Scorpions and Reptiles.

Astronomy, Science, Tattoos, Camping, Fishing. Also catching and studying insects, arachnids and reptiles.

Very cool background!

Thanks, do you plan on owning any Deathstalker Scorpions?

I had one once before about a year ago. He died or I would still have it.

Hi, you have a very nice collection and yes it is a split Betta fish tank.

Thanks. I thought that's what that tank was because I had bought one in the past for my bettas. How do your T's like living next to each other? Do you have any problems with it or do they seem to be fine with it?

No interesting issues have arisen with the Hainanum. They are very defensive and territorial and they get really big... my big girl is 8"+

I pretty much just leave them alone. During the summer I keep them warm and wet and in the winter I keep them cool and dry.

Hey there - thanks for the comments! The Haplopelma Hainanum I obtained from someone on AB... I drove to Maryland to get them: there are three females I have and one H. Schmidtei. As for handling my Haplopelma Lividum female, it wasn't bravery - I had no choice. I was gently nudging her from a deli cup back into her enclosure after cleaning the substrate and she ran up the tongs onto my hand. I didn't want to freak out and risk injuring her so I sucked it in. She was sweet as cotton candy on my hand but this is Haplopelma we're talking about. Also, if you're interested in a Hainanum female let me know. They're known to be nasty though!
