Ig Staff Member Appointed

Red Trapdoor

I got a red trapdoor spider for my 16 year old son last thursday.  When I gave it to him, I told him that he needed to look up what kind of habitat it needs, and set it up.  Ok, it is sunday, I went upstairs to check on all his critters, and found the red trapdoor in a small critter keeper, no water, and he had it on aspen shavings!!

Sun Tiger and Spidermonkey

I just got my sun tiger this past thursday, I thought I was getting a bigger one, but when it got here, it is so tiny I can barely see it. When I got my stripe knee, it was that size too, but they grow fast. Still, I am disappointed. Spidermonkey came to me friday, she is a little 2 pound yorkie. She is so ulgy, but so sweet. Where I live (michigan, U.S.) I don`t have to go out of my way at all to find bugs. I find a lot of my bugs just laying there dead or slowly dying on my porch or in my garage. Since I don`t live in the big city I have thousands of fireflies in my yard. Beat that for easy entemology!... Read More
