So come to find out they will be Rose hairs. We have never hatched Tarantulas before, but from what i read they are all supost to hatch together. Only 15 of them have started to hatch in the last 2 days. Can someone tell me if thats normal or what is going on? Any information would help greatly. I just got home from attending the Grass Valley Celtic Festival and I had a wonderful time. I was part of the clan League of Robin Goodfellow. The league wears costumes representing mythical creatures. We are "forest people" with a variety of characters including fairies, tree man, satyr, elves, & werebear. I just went to a reptile show this weekend and got my very first tarantula, a female Honduran curly hair. She's about 2 inches right now and I just got done feeding her for the first time. She's really sweet and didn't make a fuss when I transferred her to her new cage. I'm really looking forward to seeing her grow and I cant wait for her to start growing those long golden hairs they get their name for. Wish me luck!... Read More
My B. smithi has been having trouble eating for the past couple weeks. At first I thought she just wasn't hungry. After a couple of weeks I became curious and tried to take a look at her fangs to make sure nothing was wrong. It seems like when she does try to eat she grabs the cricket but can't hang on to it.
